All around a great vet hospital, but I am especially appreciative of how understanding and compassionate all the doctors, techs and receptionists are of my dog who has high levels of anxiety and is extremely fearful of humans. They go out of their way to make sure she is as comfortable as she can be in the situation. Highly recommend!
I visited this veterinary hospital for the first time a few days ago, with a sick cockatiel. I was told to come in right away and received excellent care from Dr. McNamara. The atmosphere is just the right mix of friendly, caring and efficiently professional. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable fee, especially since this was for urgent care. I will definitely go back to Salmon Brook.
I have been a client since 1973 and Salmon Brook is treating my 7th dog. I drive half an hour for each appointment, passing numerous vets along the way, but I've been so pleased with the service and communication that I'd never think of changing. Four vets have retired, but the new hires don't miss a beat in terms of knowledge, compassion, and support. Dr. Violette remembers all of my dogs by name, which is incredible considering how many dogs he treats. I love the dogs, the services, the grooming, and the boarding. Great all around service.
Fast appointment scheduling. Very caring and helpful technician and the Doctor took the time to explain everything to us. There was no cost pressure to take on treatment our cat didn't need, and the focus was on the cat.
I brought my rescue to this vet after hearing good reviews and not not disappointed! Dr. McNamara we really good with her even though she she was a complete nervous wreck. The Dr and vet tech were fabulous in helping to calm my dog down, administer shots, and explain everything to me in a way that I can understand. If you want a vet where everyone truley cares about your animal health, comfort level, and happiness then this is a great place to consider.
